Abstract: How many integer-sided triangles (a,b,c) satisfy a+b+c=n? How many integers d,e with d+e=n satisfy 2e >= d >= e/2?
We describe a method for solving generalizations of these questions using ideas from partition analysis, permutation statistics, P-partitions, and symmetry.
