Biography
Yuan Liu is an Assistant Professor in the Department Electrical and Computer Engineering and the Department of Computer Science at the North Carolina State University. Prior to joining NC State faculty as an NSF Quantum Computing & Information Science Faculty Fellow, he was a postdoctoral researcher in the Research Laboratory of Electronics and Department of Physics at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in Boston. His research interests lie at the intersection of quantum information science, theoretical chemistry and physics, and quantum engineering. Some recent topics include quantum algorithms and simulation, quantum signal processing, hybrid continuous-discrete-variable quantum information processing, algorithmic-level error-correction, and quantum sensing.
