Best Paper Award Presented at ICDCS 2012
Congratulations to PhD students Yongmin Tan, Hiep Nguyen and Zhiming Shen; Dr. Xiaohui (Helen) Gu, assistant professor of computer science in the NC State Department of Computer Science; and Deepak Rajan and Chitra Venkatramani, of the IBM T.J. Watson Research Labs, for winning the Best Paper Award at the 32nd International Conference on Distributed Computing Systems (ICDCS) 2012 held in Macau, China on June 18-21, 2012.In their winning paper, titled “PREPARE: Predictive Performance Anomaly Prevention for Virtualized Cloud Systems,” the team presents a novel PREdictive Performance Anomaly PREvention (PREPARE) system that provides automatic performance anomaly prevention for virtualized cloud computing infrastructures.
