A Day to Remember
NC State’s 5th annual ‘Day of Giving’ on March 22, 2023, is sure to go down in department lore as a ‘day to remember’! Anchored by a very generous $10,000 challenge pledge by NC State alum and former SAB member - David Whitley and his wife Karen -along with two alumni who made major transformative gift announcements, the department set an all-time single day giving record with gifts and pledges totaling $3,825,805! Code Black Partners with Google to Create Community, Networking Opportunities for Black Students in Computer Science
Code Black, a student organization for Black students in the NC State Department of Computer Science (CSC), partnered with the Black Googlers Network at Google to hold Code Black-a-thon, a hack-a-thon in honor of Black History Month. Students in attendance had the opportunity to network with Google employees and hear from speakers about subjects such as User Interface (UI) and User Experience (UX). Students were tasked with creating a program focused on serving the community. The first-place team, composed of Sharonda Daniels, David Ezeude, Ifeoluwa Aderemi, Alphonzo Dixon III and Jaela Simms, created an app called BallotBox, which aims to simplify the process of researching political candidates. Computer Science Spring Diploma Ceremony Set for May 4th
Please join us as we recognize and celebrate our graduates during the NC State Computer Science Department’s Spring Diploma Ceremony on Thursday, May 4th at 12:00 noon. The ceremony will be held in William Neal Reynolds Coliseum and approximately 250 graduates are expected to receive their degrees during the event. Jerry Tillman (BS CSC 2003), Vice President of IBM Cloud Platform Services, will deliver the keynote address. Read More »
Jay Pande, Budding Scientist, Plans to Give Back to the CP Community
Jay Pande is a 2nd year PhD student in computer science at NC State University, who was diagnosed with cerebral palsy at nine months. He hopes to use technology to help people with disabilities be successful in academic settings. Read More »
Select Departmental Gifts & Support
Epic Games has provided $5,000 to the department in support of the Senior Design Center.
CSC alum, Erkang Zheng has donated $1,000 in support of the Computer Science Enhancement Endowment.
CSC alum, Mark Wyatt and his wife Robin have donated $1,000 in support of the Computer Science Enhancement Endowment.
SAS has donated $25,000 to the department in support of the Senior Design Center and ePartners Program.

Personalized Job Search Agent in ePack
If you are a CSC student or recent graduate (within 12 months post-graduation) and would like to receive email notifications when new jobs are posted on ePack matching your profile, you can set up your own customized job search agent to receive just the postings you desire (intern vs. full time, etc). For a short video tutorial on how to create your own personalized job agent, click here.
The Alumni Association has partnered with the University Career Development Center to make ePACK available to NC State alumni. If you are a current Alumni Association member, update your online profile by visiting the Wolfpack Connect (alumni directory) and click on the ‘Update My Info’ tab on the upper right side of the page. Select the ‘Career Connections’ tab and then choose ‘yes’ beside the question, ‘Do you want access to ePACK?’
To access ePACK you must be a member of the Alumni Association and you must be an alumnus/alumnae of NC State. If you are not a member of the Alumni Association, you can join online. Once you have received an email confirming your membership, you will be able to register for access to ePACK.
