CSC Department Congratulates 2022 CSC Graduate Awards Recipients
The annual CSC Graduate Awards recognize excellence in research, teaching and leadership among our graduate students, Students are nominated by faculty, and recipients of the awards receive a plaque and a $500 cash award. To be nominated, students must be in good standing, meet the eligibility criteria, and have submitted their academic progress reports for the academic year in which the nomination is submitted. The Computer Science Department is proud to congratulate the recipients of the 2022 CSC Graduate Awards: Chaitanya Bandikatla, Amy Isvik, Kai Presler-Marshall, Samiha Marwan, and Onkar Patil. NC State Receives $16M to Build Esports Facilities on Campus
Approximately $12M will be allocated towards an on-campus esports arena while $4M will be put towards building a mobile gaming center or “esports truck,” according to NC State’s student newspaper Technician. The arena is said to offer students “hands-on learning experiences” in computer science and game design, as well as for those outside its esports and gaming community. This includes allowing hospitality management students the opportunity to plan esports events through the facility while social science circles can research the effects of esports on gamers. 2022 CSC Alumni Hall of Fame Nominations Being Accepted
The NC State CSC Alumni Hall of Fame was established to celebrate and recognize the exemplary contributions our outstanding graduates have made to their profession, their community, and to the world at large. Award winners will serve as an inspiration for current and future students, while promoting the department’s global impact for producing incredible talent that embodies the University’s mantra to “Think and Do the Extraordinary!” With well more than 10,000 CSC alumni, only a select number will be chosen for recognition in our Hall of Fame, making this a truly exceptional and noteworthy honor. Nominees (living or deceased) should have demonstrated exceptional professional, entrepreneurial and/or service achievements in their selected careers. CSC Alumni Hall of Fame inductee and former Strategic Advisory Board member, Dr. Elizabeth Mynatt (BS CSC ’88), was recently honored as an AAAS Fellow for her outstanding community leadership and exceptional contributions to human-centered computing. Mynatt, a former member of our Strategic Advisory Board, currently serves as Dean of the Khoury College of Computer Science at Northeastern University. Read More »

Personalized Job Search Agent in ePack
If you are a CSC student or recent graduate (within 12 months post-graduation) and would like to receive email notifications when new jobs are posted on ePack matching your profile, you can set up your own customized job search agent to receive just the postings you desire (intern vs. full time, etc). For a short video tutorial on how to create your own personalized job agent, click here.
The Alumni Association has partnered with the University Career Development Center to make ePACK available to NC State alumni. If you are a current Alumni Association member, update your online profile by visiting the Wolfpack Connect (alumni directory) and click on the ‘Update My Info’ tab on the upper right side of the page. Select the ‘Career Connections’ tab and then choose ‘yes’ beside the question, ‘Do you want access to ePACK?’
To access ePACK you must be a member of the Alumni Association and you must be an alumnus/alumnae of NC State. If you are not a member of the Alumni Association, you can join online. Once you have received an email confirming your membership, you will be able to register for access to ePACK.
